Busy fall

Lots going on this week.

The forest service just burned Demo Plot 10.

Kevin Starr built some new platforms so that NADP could replaced our old Belfort gauge with an OTT precipitation sampler. They also added another temporary sampler as part of a large co-location study.

Late season research includes soil mercury volitization.

Large-format photographer Chris Woodcock shot the basin as part of his project to photograph all the UCNRS reserves. We had beautiful light, so hopefully he gets good results.

Animal Planet shot at Sagehen this week. Cal Fish & Game set it up as an attempt to get more accurate information into the popular media.
