The US Forest Service, Pacific Southwest Research Station is hosting a Centennial Celebration for US Forest Service Research & Development at the Sagehen Experimental Forest on June 2-3, 2009.
You are invited to this event which is being held both to honor 100 years of Forest Service research at Experimental Forests and Ranges across the country and to develop a long-term research vision for the Sagehen Experimental Forest. Please see the tri-fold invitation for details.

Was an Environmental Assessment or a Forest Plan amendment done for the designation of the Sagehen Experimental Forest?

I'd send your question to Joanne Roubique, the Truckee District Ranger & Peter Stine of the Pacific Southwest Research Station.
They are the Forest Service folks responsible for managing the Sagehen basin.
